Was interesting today though. Had a freebie from a customer and it was in the BM Upper. Do a lot of people these days take their kids who seem to have absolutely no interest in the football whatsoever and just either complain through the whole game, play games on their phone or hit their mate/brother/sister in the arm all the time?! It seems such a waste of money to me!!

Or maybe hire a charter,,,, flying would be quicker!! And that 3 hours included flying through the Dartford toll for a change!! Suspect you took the train?

Decent performance without being great. Agree with Downing and Zarate in the middle we looked a bit lightweight but won without breaking too much sweat and not playing fantastically.

Pleased we won though considering the nightmare on the roads. Three hours to get from Sussex to UP and two back due to a combination of road works, accidents and congestion. Too many bloody cars on the roads these days!!

Anyone have any ideas on all the congestion at the A13 slip road off the M25 just after the Dartford Tunnel? Good half an hour wait and when we finally got to the traffic lights there was no evidence of what was the issue...

Re: West Ham v QPR - Official Match Thread 2-0 FT
I think we cruised today, but at times looked worryingly fragile through the middle. We definitely miss Kouyate, and to a lesser extent Noble, with them in the side we'll tend to overpower most teams in the middle, and deny them any kind of space. For a while we let QPR back into it and better teams will take advantage.

On the plus side we have a genuine squad, with real competition for places and real quality from the bench, with more to come. We also, equally importantly, have players who can come off the bench and change the way we play, not simply be a like for like replacement.

I think it has to be recognised just how much we have changed the team. Was it seven summer buys in the starting 11 today? That's little short of miraculous to get them playing well together. It tends to suggest that we'll get better as understanding improves. In particular, Song needs full match fitness and to realise that the players he is now playing with aren't as good as Barcelona's and will need an extra touch on the ball. He often plays the ball in in very tight positions obviously believing the other guy's close control is good enough not for it to be a problem.

Pretty much all good from where I sit.

We won a game when we didn't play that well.
How many times can we say that over the past few years?

Re: West Ham v QPR - Official Match Thread 2-0 FT
To be honest the only performance we can really criticise was the Southampton game.

We won easily today and never got out of 2nd gear, always a sign of a good team, we have players to come back that will make us better, deserve to be 7th and over half the league won't fancy turning us over.

Happy days to be a west ham fan and fuck me it's about time. Sam will probably get a new contract which I'm not happy with but at least the dinosaur has shown he is capable of change, to which I take my hat off to him for.
